ERSA - 0840CDJ - Power tool soldering iron 80 W / 24 V, antistatic, for RDS 80 and ANALOG / DIGITAL stations, series 832 / 842 tips

This variant: 0840CDJ = Power tool /024 80, the 24 V / 80 W soldering iron of the Ersa RDS 80 station, delivered with a 2.2 mm chisel ERSADUR long-life tip. It is the replacement iron for the RDS 80 (0RDS80), MICRO-CON 60 iA (0MIC60IA), ANALOG 60 / 60A / 80 / 80A and DIGITAL 80 A / DIGITAL 2000 A stations (the last ones are discontinued, the iron and its tips remain available). Not for the i-CON family, which uses the i-TOOL irons.

The Power tool uses the Ersa Resistronic principle: the ceramic PTC heating element also acts as the temperature sensor, which gives a high initial power for fast heat-up and quick heat recovery on large solder joints. The antistatic handle and cable make it suitable for ESD-protected workplaces. The tip is held by a tip sleeve and can be changed in seconds; the full series 832 (standard) and 842 (increased heat transfer) ERSADUR tips fit.
