Vemer Temperature Probe
A thermocouple works based on the Seebeck effect, which states that when two different metals are joined at both ends and there is a temperature difference between these junctions, an electric voltage is generated that is proportional to the temperature. This voltage can be measured and converted into a temperature value using a reference table or an electronic calibration circuit. Thermocouples are used in industrial and scientific applications due to their fast response time, wide temperature range, and robustness.
A PT100 temperature probe operates based on the principle of electrical resistance variation of platinum as a function of temperature. It is a type of RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensor, where its resistance value at 0°C is exactly 100 ohms. As the temperature increases, the resistance increases in a predictable and linear manner, allowing highly accurate temperature determination. PT100 sensors are used in applications requiring stable and precise measurements, such as laboratories and the food industry, due to their long-term stability and high accuracy.
