The Schneider Electric Harmony XPSBAC14AP is a Preventa safety module for emergency stop and protective guard monitoring. It monitors a 2 NC emergency stop button or one or two guard limit switches on two redundant channels and, when the button is pressed or the guard is opened, its safety contacts drop out the coils of the motor contactors. The start can be automatic, manual or monitored, so the machine cannot restart by itself after the emergency stop is released. With the safety outputs used correctly it reaches PL e / category 4 (ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (IEC 61508, IEC 62061), which is what the Machinery Directive requires for emergency stop circuits on industrial machines.
The module is 22.5 mm wide, mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail, is powered at 24 V AC or DC and has removable screw terminal blocks. Five LEDs show power, error, status and the two start inputs. It pairs with the emergency stop buttons and Preventa / XC safety limit switches available in our Limit Switches section.
