The 80A multi-function energy meters, Types 7M.38.8.400.0112, 7M.38.8.400.0212 and 7M.38.8.400.0312 are MID certified devices rated at 80 A, 70 °C and are for three-phase (3 or 4-wire) and single-phase systems. These meters are the ideal device for electric vehicle charging stations.

They are distinguished by the backlit matrix display, the multi-function touch key and the sealable tamperproof terminal shield.

They will display and store both total and partial (resettable) energy consumption, and display the following real-time values: V, A, PF, kW, kVA, kvar, Hz, THD V, THD A, phase angle and direction of power flow.

Type 7M.38 is available in the versions:

• 7M.38.8.400.0112 with double S0 pulse output for remote energy control and IR communication interface
• 7M.38.8.400.0212 with integrated Modbus RS485 and impulsive S0 communication port for remote energy control and IR communication interface
• 7M.38.8.400.0312 with integrated M-Bus and S0 impulsive communication port for remote energy control and IR communication interface

Other characteristics:

• Direct connection up to 80 A, double tariff, double S0 pulse output
• 2 MID certified meters for active energy + 2 for reactive energy (national certification), 16 resettable meters
• Active energy accuracy class: Class B according to EN 50470-3 (MID)
• Reactive energy accuracy class: Class 2 according to EN 62053-23
• Protection category II
