DESCRIPTION
The Megger VF5 voltage detector is designed to check for the presence of AC voltage without contact. Detection is indicated by a bright red LED situated within the white nylon tip, an audible sounder and a vibration alert – so the warning is clear even in noisy or bright environments. The detector has both a low-voltage range (12 – 1000 V AC) and a medium-voltage range (100 – 1000 V AC), selectable to avoid false alarms from induced voltages. A bright white LED torch is built in for use in poor light.
APPLICATIONS
Suitable for identifying live conductors, finding a break in a conductor or verifying a blown fuse while in circuit, and for detecting AC voltage at socket outlets, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, cables and luminaires.
