DESCRIPTION
The Megger AVO®215 is a pocket-sized True RMS multimeter that offers a wide range of functions in a small, rugged package. The 4000-count high-contrast display with backlight gives easy-to-read results in all lighting conditions. The size of the case and the position of the rotary switch and buttons mean the instrument sits comfortably in the palm for single-handed use.
RANGES AND FEATURES
The instrument measures AC/DC voltages up to 600 V and AC/DC currents up to 10 A (20 A possible for 30 seconds maximum). All AC measurements are True RMS, so perfect and imperfect waveforms are measured accurately. Resistance ranges cover 0 to 40 MΩ, capacitance 0 to 4000 µF and frequency 10 Hz to 10 kHz. The duty-cycle function displays the on-time of a signal as a percentage – ideal for pulse trains and PWM evaluation.
Functions are auto-ranging when first selected; the RANGE button allows manual range selection on all functions. MAX/MIN captures momentary rises or falls in readings without continuous monitoring of the display, and HOLD freezes the displayed result. The continuity range has a buzzer for audible confirmation, and the diode test allows forward and reverse bias testing of diode and semiconductor junctions. A built-in flashlight helps when working in dark areas.
