Electronic relay for the protection of three-phase motors, type RE09AF

Description:

The RE09AF electronic relay is intended for monitoring the good operation and protection of three-phase electric motors. It protects the engines for a wide range of unwanted events, allows the detection and localization of faults in order to quickly remove them.

The RE09AF relay protects the motor at:

• Overload, calculating the integral from (Imax-1.05Ir)2dt and having thermal memory
• Underload (no load): we can set an undercurrent threshold in the range [20 – 90]% X Ir
• Locking rotor (torque limitation), with an adjustable threshold=[2-3]XIr
• Ensures tripping of the circuit breaker when the contactor is refused to open.
• Asymmetry of currents, with an adjustable threshold [30-75]%
• Missing phase
• Reduction of insulation resistance below 500KΩ (engine cannot be started)
• Start-up too long (start-up time exceeded). The relay can also protect motors with long starting times by setting td=[2-10]s
